Start OpenDog

Start a 14-day OpenDog trial workspace.

Create a workspace for the grooming business you already run, then set up services, service areas, clients, pets, requests, route review, invoices, email reminders, and rebooking at your own pace. No card is requested at signup, no payment is collected, and billing starts only when it is activated through the account.

  • 14-day trial workspace
  • No card or payment at signup
  • Billing stays separate until activated

Bring over the work you already run.

OpenDog setup can start with the pieces that matter most: active clients, pets, services, upcoming appointments, route habits, payment expectations, and the follow-up work that gets hard to track in scattered tools. You can improve older records progressively instead of making every detail perfect before you begin.

  • Start with service area, hours, services, staff or van context, buffers, booking rules, and route preferences.
  • Add active customers, pets, notes, photos, upcoming appointments, balances, and rebooking reminders as they become useful.
  • Keep website, route, payment, and launch decisions reviewed before the business depends on them.

What happens next.

Signup creates the workspace and carries your selected plan into trial setup. From there, OpenDog helps you move from account creation into a reviewed daily workflow.

  • 1. Create the workspace and choose Solo, Team, or Business by completed appointment volume.
  • 2. Configure business basics: service area, hours, services, buffers, booking rules, route preferences, staff, and vehicles.
  • 3. Add records progressively: clients, pets, notes, photos, upcoming appointments, invoices, balances, and rebooking context.
  • 4. Review requests, service area, route fit, drive time, customer availability, and route order before confirming work.
  • 5. Use invoices, balances, receipts, secure Stripe card payments and deposits where the account setup supports them; saved-card or later invoice charges require customer authorization and additional readiness.
  • 6. Send live email confirmations and reminders from the appointment workflow; SMS/texting and on-my-way texts remain Coming Soon.

Stay in control before anything public changes.

OpenDog is request-first: customers can ask for grooming, and the business reviews service area, route fit, timing, service details, pet needs, and availability before confirming an appointment. Route planning is Google-backed and built for owner review, drive time, customer windows, manual reorder, and recalculation; OpenDog does not silently move confirmed appointments.

  • Hosted OpenDog website pages are prepared, reviewed, and activated separately.
  • Custom domains require DNS, TLS, routing, and support activation before they are used.
  • Subscription billing, customer payments, deposits, and saved-card workflows remain separate from public signup.

Get practical help without handing over the whole switch.

Support can help with setup questions, import planning, route workflow, staff setup, payment readiness, website launch decisions, and what to configure later. The owner still controls the data, the route, public changes, and when the business is ready to rely on OpenDog day to day.

FAQ

Common questions from grooming businesses.

Does starting require a card?

No. Public signup starts a 14-day trial workspace. No card is requested and no payment is collected at signup. Subscription billing is separate and starts only when billing is activated through the account.

Which plans can I choose during signup?

The current public monthly plans are Solo at $49/month for up to 125 completed appointments, Team at $99/month for up to 500, and Business at $149/month for up to 1,500. Annual billing is not part of the current live public catalog.

Do I need all my client and pet data ready?

No. Start with active clients, pets, services, notes, upcoming appointments, and route habits. Older records and cleanup questions can be handled progressively.

Will anything go live immediately?

No. Creating an account does not publish a website, confirm customer requests, change a live schedule, activate SMS, start subscription billing, or turn on customer card payments by itself.

How do website setup and custom domains work?

Every plan includes website setup and a hosted OpenDog URL after content review and activation. Custom domains require DNS, TLS, routing, and support activation before they are used.

Can customers book without my review?

No. OpenDog is request-first. Customers submit details, and the business reviews service area, route fit, timing, availability, service needs, and pet details before confirming an appointment.

How does route planning work after setup?

OpenDog supports Google-backed route planning with drive time, customer availability, manager control, manual reorder, and recalculation. Optional reviewed automation may be used with your setup, but confirmed appointments are not silently changed.

Can I use payments and deposits?

OpenDog supports invoices, balances, receipts, secure Stripe card payments, and deposits where the account and Stripe setup support them. Saved cards and later invoice charges require customer authorization and additional readiness; OpenDog does not make hidden or automatic customer charges.

Are email and SMS reminders available?

Live email confirmations and reminders are available from the appointment workflow. SMS/texting and on-my-way texts remain Coming Soon.

Can I cancel or ask for support?

OpenDog terms allow cancellation under the applicable plan or order. Support is available for setup questions, import planning, route workflow, staff setup, payment readiness, and launch decisions.
