Reports
Know what happened in the grooming business without rebuilding the day.
OpenDog turns the appointments, pets, services, invoices, payments, and follow-up you already track into clear reports, so you can see the health of the month before it turns into another spreadsheet night.
- Date-range totals
- Pets, services, and invoices together
- CSV exports for review

Reports can show customer and pet activity, last visits, next appointments, top clients, invoice contribution, and rebooking context from the records in OpenDog.
- Bring good clients back before they drift.
- Review multi-pet visits without double-counting the appointment.
- Keep follow-up tied to the dog and invoice.
Understand team work without turning it into payroll.
Staff/groomer rows show assigned appointments, completed visits, pets serviced, and service-item revenue when that work is recorded in OpenDog. Payroll, compensation, and job-costing stay outside this report.
- See who handled the work.
- Review service volume by groomer.
- Keep compensation decisions in your normal payroll process.
Export clean files for review.
OpenDog can download CSV files for appointments, customers, services, invoices, invoice items, and payment records. They are owner-review files for spreadsheets or accountant handoff, not an automatic QuickBooks sync or final tax report.
- Review files before importing anywhere else.
- Keep date ranges clear for invoices and payments.
- Use accounting tools for taxes, payouts, refunds, and processor fees.
FAQ
Common questions from grooming businesses.
What reports are available?
OpenDog reports can show appointment activity, pets serviced, service items, invoice totals, recorded payments, open balances, deposits, tips, customer and pet activity, staff/groomer rows, and CSV exports.
Are the money numbers cash collected or booked work?
Invoice gross comes from invoice totals in OpenDog. Recorded payments come from payment rows marked paid. Open balances are invoice totals minus recorded paid rows. Bank payouts, processor fees, refunds, disputes, taxes, and final accounting still need normal review outside OpenDog.
Can I find clients who need rebooking?
Yes. Customer and pet reports can show visit count, last visit, next appointment, and invoice contribution so follow-up is easier to choose.
Can I compare groomers or vans?
Reports include staff/groomer rows for assigned appointments, completed visits, pets serviced, and service-item revenue. Route and vehicle planning live in the scheduling and route tools, not as a separate van-profit report.
Can I export reports?
Yes. CSV downloads are available for appointments, customers, services, invoices, invoice items, and payments. Exports are capped for practical review and is checked before importing into accounting tools.
Do reports replace bookkeeping or tax work?
No. OpenDog reports help run the grooming business day to day. Your accountant, bank, payment processor, and tax tools remain the source for final books, settlements, payouts, fees, disputes, refunds, and taxes.
